The Nanostructures and Optical Materials group of the Department of Heterogeneous Catalysis is looking for a motivated

Post-doc researcher (f/m/d)
with expertise in materials synthesis, optics, or optical spectroscopy

to lead our efforts in fabricating and exploring materials with novel properties that have an impact both fundamentally and technologically. Especially materials that allow for the development of novel memory and computing technologies will be investigated.

The main research topics in the research group are

  • Iontronics
  • Spintronics
  • Opto-optical materials
  • Synthesis, characterization, modification, and optical application of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have

  • A PhD in physics, materials science, chemistry, or related fields
  • Expertise in an experimental project involving materials synthesis and optical characterization

Conditions of employment:

The position is available immediately, although the start date can be negotiated. The postdoc position is fully funded and contains a TVöD salary. The initial contract duration is 24 months with the option of prolongation to 36 month.

Applications:

Applications (reference code Ma2024-08-31) are welcome as soon as possible, but not later than until August 31, 2024.
